An Evening with Zadie Smith

Bestselling author Zadie Smith joins us to discuss her acclaimed first historical novel, set against the real-life Victorian scandal of the Tichborne Claimant.  Spanning literary London and Jamaica’s sugar-cane plantations, The Fraud is a brilliant, witty exploration of truth, identity, class and who gets to tell their story, featuring Hurstpierpoint locations.

Zadie will be in conversation with Peter Guttridge, followed by book-signing.  Copies of The Fraud will be on sale and there will be a bar.

Presented in partnership with Cuckfield bookfest.

To help cover our administration fees, a one-off Booking Fee of £1 will be added to your cart if it contains any Event Tickets other than free events.
